Blog is about a remote village in Bush Karints area of Southern Highlands Province. Located on the border of SHP and Enga Provinces,the people here speak Enga's dialect (Pii) and Mendi's Karintz (Angal)dialects. Though its very remote away from the main centers,its naturally blessed with dense forest and icy cold water steams with abundance of rainbow trouts with varieties of wild animals which are source of protein. Fresh Water Fishing - Last Karints
This is a photography display of fresh water fishing in last Karints of bush Karints area, southern highlands province. There are two methods of fishing. the first and most common one is by hook while the other method is by hand by way of re-diverting the water to a new route and making the previous water way/route dry and catch fish by hand. on shallow waters, catching by hand is also normal practise.

Traditional Medicine - Last Karinz
Being isolated from rest of the main centres where health services are too far off, few of best medication the people of last karinz have to get is to prevent life style diseases are the icy fresh water supply, the salad etc. to name a few. displayed below are few of these traditional medication still practised today.
Abundance of fresh water supply is one way people can help themselves by taking a full shower.
This leaf was traditionally used as soap. When leaves are squeezed with hand under water, a soapy bubble is produced which was used to wash hands and face. More leaves are used at once.
Salad is one of those commonly known, still being used today. Its is one of the best traditional pain killers around.
Another type of traditional soap used. It retains water and remained wet even during dry weather. You simply pull off a hand full of them and rub your face and body. One of bets cleansing medication used traditionally.
Surrounding Environment - Last Karinz
Natural and hybrid/imported flowers blossom in and around the surrounding of last Karinz. Becasue of its climate, the environment is really blessed with flowers that flourish everywhere and the place is also blessed with abundance of food supply. The photograph below are few of the many varieties found in last karinz.
